Maya Gwynn is a Southern California native who earned her B.A. in Public Relations from California Baptist University in 2013. Since childhood, she has had a passion for writing and performing comedy which led her to study at The Second City Hollywood Training Center. In 2014, she graduated from the Second City Conservatory, soon after, began teaching improvisation and creative writing to children, teens, and adults in both schools and recovery centers. Maya personally understands how powerful and healing improvisation and creative writing can be and is passionate about using her skills to improve the lives of individuals from all walks of life.
Joel Boyd

Director of Programs
Joel Boyd is an Emmy-nominated writer, actor, producer, and director originally from Milwaukee, WI. His writing has been featured across premium brands such as Netflix, HBO Max, TBS, Disney+, and more, and he is widely known for his recurring role as Mr. Bradford on The Chi (Showtime). In 2024 he garnered a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work as a producer on the documentary special Recipe For Change: Celebrating Black Men, for LeBron James' production company—SpringHill. Beyond his career as an artist, Joel has found passion in creating avenues to educate & inspire youth. He has partnered with public schools, community theaters, scholarship programs, and non-profits to design entertainment career development training, social-emotional learning, and improv workshops for youth of all ages. He is committed to sharing how the skills of improvisational comedy changed his life as a teen—helping him to cope with feelings of anxiety, insecurity, and depression, to finding a sense of confidence, self, and authenticity. He is elated to bring his talents to the mission of The 3 Lines Collective.

Maya Imani Estephanos is the Director of Development at The 3 Lines Collective, bringing over a decade of experience in arts education and nonprofit leadership. Known for fostering community connections and expanding program reach, she has been instrumental in securing new opportunities for arts accessibility throughout her career. With multiple award nominations across artistic mediums, including international recognition, Maya’s work is driven by a commitment to empowering underserved communities through creative expression.
